I finally got around to building a box joint jig. I typically cut box joints by hand but for experience and for a speedier, less costly option I thought I’d give it a try. Besides, I do love power tools as well, including the table saw. There are many, many, many videos, blogs, etc. on building these jigs so I won’t go into another one of those.
I’ll simply say this, accuracy in building the jig correlates to accuracy in your box joints. You need to be dead on your measurements with everything to get joints that are at, or near, accurate. You can see from the photos mine are not perfect; after all, this was my first attempt at building the jig and using it.
